On September 10, 2025, a high-level delegation of approximately 30 managers from various global plants of MAHLE Group visited PXI Auto Components (Suzhou) Co., Ltd, hereinafter referred to as “PXI,” for technical exchanges and strategic negotiations under the theme “Advancing Together, Smart Manufacturing for the Future.” The executive team of PXI, including the China General Manager, Sales Director, and Plant Manager, jointly received the guests. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on cutting-edge processes for thermal management systems, smart production, and digital supply chain development.
The China General Manager of PXI stated: “We highly value our global strategic partnership with MAHLE Group. This visit not only deepens our consensus on smart and green manufacturing but also lays a solid foundation for the joint development of next-generation thermal management products. PXI will continue to increase investment in R&D and smart manufacturing, working hand in hand with MAHLE to promote efficient, clean, and sustainable development of automotive components.”
During the workshop tour, the delegation thoroughly inspected the automated processing production line, CMM inspection room, cleanliness laboratory, and smart warehouse. Among these, the smart warehouse with a daily throughput capacity of 500,000 items, the dedicated production line for Volkswagen’s new energy valve seat products, the fully automated palletizing robot production line, and the multi-axis machining area supported by Makino high-precision CNC machines left a deep impression on the MAHLE team.
During the visit, PXI comprehensively demonstrated its integrated capabilities in digital and smart manufacturing. Through an integrated industrial internet platform, the company has achieved end-to-end digital management from order receipt to product delivery, with real-time visibility and coordination capabilities for global logistics, production efficiency, and inventory status, reflecting its exceptional level of digital plant operations.
Furthermore, PXI has established a fully automated production system covering material handling to finished product shipment, including precision turning units, automated stamping production lines, new-generation facilities under construction, and large-scale smart warehouses, fully demonstrating the company’s systematic capabilities in smart manufacturing layout. The high-end precision machining area, equipped with multi-axis CNC devices, showcases the company’s advanced techniques and technological expertise in processing complex structural components.
During the Q&A session, the MAHLE delegation engaged in lively discussions with the PXI team on the implementation effectiveness of the digital management system, production capacity flexibility, and energy management. A senior manager from MAHLE Group remarked: “PXI not only possesses stable quality and delivery capabilities but also leads the industry in smart and low-carbon initiatives, providing important insights for our future collaborative innovation.”
As one of the world’s top four leading enterprises in automotive thermal management systems (in 2023, MAHLE’s thermal management business achieved sales revenue of €4.591 billion, accounting for 35.82% of the group’s total revenue), MAHLE Group is a world-renowned large multinational Tier 1 automotive component supplier, holding approximately 10% of the global automotive thermal management system market share. This visit is a continuation of the close collaboration between the two parties over more than a decade and an important step toward deepening global strategic synergy in the new energy vehicle era. Thanks to its outstanding technical capabilities, stable product quality, and efficient delivery system, PXI has become a “key supplier” to MAHLE for global thermal management system components. The continued deepening of cooperation between PXI and MAHLE signifies that Chinese component manufacturers are deeply integrating into the global high-end automotive supply chain through technical prowess and smart manufacturing capabilities, gradually becoming indispensable innovative forces in the industrial ecosystem.
Meanwhile, PXI has always actively promoted diversification of its customer structure, maintaining long-term cooperation with global Tier 1 suppliers such as MAHLE, Modine, and Hanon. Its products are widely used in mainstream automotive brands including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Tesla, BYD, General Motors, and Toyota. Collaboration with numerous global industry leaders has vigorously driven the continuous improvement of PXI’s technological R&D, quality management, and international operation capabilities.
